  • Overview

    Alban CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for the mid-Atlantic Region is accepting applications for a Fleet Compliance Manager for our Pulaski branch.


    The Fleet Compliance Manager is responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of the company’s vehicle fleet by managing the successful implementation of a Federal DOT compliance program. Works with Operations to implement and manage a proactive, behavior-based approach to DOT compliance with a strong emphasis on personal responsibility and incident prevention and enforces compliance with policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations. Manages and monitors the training and implementation of hours of service logs and vehicle inspection programs and audits performance against DOT requirements. Plans, directs and monitors preventive maintenance and repair programs for all company fleet, ensuring unplanned vehicle maintenance is completed on a timely basis. Conducts regular fleet audits and prepares recommendations for management evaluation. Monitors and reports fleet related expenditures on leases, repairs, graphics and fuel to appropriate Operations personnel. Obtains and secures all documentation for vehicle certification of titles and registrations, ensuring all renewals are completed in a timely manner. Works in coordination with the Safety Department on all company vehicle investigations. Performs costs and trend analyses and develops various reports for performance and maintenance issues, related expenses and other measurable standards. Seeks out industry best practices, stays updated with pending changes to Federal and State DOT regulations and implements changes as required. Performs various other duties as assigned.



    Minimum of five years of experience in Fleet and DOT Compliance Management.   Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent preferred. Experience in the heavy construction equipment industry preferred. Must have an understanding of business accounting and strong budgeting and forecasting experience. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to explain and demonstrate applied methodologies of life-cycle costing of fleet assets. Must be proficient with MS Office. Experience with Fleet Management Systems preferred.
