Alban CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for the mid-Atlantic Region is accepting applications for a Senior Accounting Manager for our Pulaski branch.
The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting with the management support for all aspects of company financial reporting and budgeting, the profitability measurement; leading the annual audit; and managing special projects. Develop, prepare, and analyze financial information and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for mangers. Direct cost-benefit analyses to enhance measurement and profitability goals and objectives. Conduct balance sheet analysis and reconciliation. Assist with evaluation of company financial reporting activities to ensure conformity with customer requirements. Oversee accounting procedures and internal controls; ensure proper controls and audit trails are followed for all supervised functions. Direct annual financial audit, including coordinating staff audit schedules and establishing timelines for completion. Direct preparation of integration of financial statement audit with preparation of company federal, state and local tax returns. Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Assist Controller with management and oversight of special audits and reviews as required and financial analyses related for company strategic business planning. Direct/supervise/prepare/provide strategic input and special analyses as requested by the Controller and CFO. Assist with banking relationships; monitor covenant compliance and web-banking access. Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Minimum of five years’ accounting management experience with a for-profit business. Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience, preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA, preferred. Must be proficient with MS-Office applications. Must be a critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills. Must possess ability to effectively compile and present financial information to a variety of audiences in a meaningful manner that factually illustrates the financial story. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands. Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and work well independently.
