  • Overview

    Alban CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for the mid-Atlantic Region is accepting applications for a Rental Sales Associate for our Pulaski branch. 


    The Rental Sales Associate is responsible for generating income by coordinating all rental sales activities at the service branch, including ensuring equipment is in optimal operating condition, processing equipment orders timely, monitoring rental equipment inventory levels, and responding to customer inquiries.  Coordinate all rental activities at the branch; including delivery and pickup of equipment, proper display of rental equipment in the yard, and scheduling prep.  Work with lead technicians and shop supervisors to schedule prep and service work to rental equipment.  Process, receive, and track approved orders for rental machines and allied equipment.  Coordinate with appropriate departments outlining any special terms, estimated date of shipment and ensure all necessary approvals and signatures are received prior to releasing the equipment.  Conduct cash, credit rental sales transactions and keep an accurate log of incoming/outgoing calls.  Monitor the rental equipment inventory and work with supervisor on restocking inventory.  Maintain rental activities database with contact and interaction information and follow up as appropriate with internal resources.  Proactively manage an assigned account base of low-volume, low-transaction, or dormant customers using the telephone, email and text message as the primary contact tools in an effort to meet or exceed territory and Company business goals.  Respond to inquiries from internal and/or external customers regarding rental equipment and pricing and solve customer disputes/concerns in a timely manner.  Coordinate with sales and service managers on timely demos and service/sales loaners.  Perform various other duties as assigned.


    Minimum of one year experience working in a sales or sales support role.  Previous experience in a sales/rental industry environment preferred.  Must possess ability to locate customer sites using traditional geographical maps and GPS.  Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.  Must have excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.  Must have strong organizational and time management skills.  Must be able to effectively multi-task to meet deadlines.  Must be proficient with MS-Office applications.
