  • Overview

    Alban CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for the mid-Atlantic Region is accepting applications for Standardized Work Coordinator for our Baltimore branch.


    The Standardized Work Coordinator creates standard jobs as requested using the Builder G3 system and the standard jobs function in Dealer Business System (DBS).  Assists Service Operations Support Manager with development and implementation of standard work practices; documentation and distribution of best practices.  Observes technical operations as requested to determine areas that could benefit from standard work processes.  Educates branch staff on standard work and repair options and makes recommendations. Uses various Caterpillar software systems to research appropriate parts and labor hours used to create standard jobs.  Generates reports identifying performance exceptions and recommendations/solutions to Service Departments for managing performance exceptions.  Updates parts and labor pricing for all standard jobs as needed.Works with Service Operations Support Manager on development of new standard jobs for multiple business segments.  Prepares and distributes training material to appropriate personnel to increase standard job utilization.  Travels to service branches as needed.


    Minimum of two years’ experience defining work standards in the heavy construction equipment or automotive industry. Previous experience in heavy construction equipment or automotive repair service preferred.  Proficiency in MS Office applications. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Must have excellent customer relations skills.  Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and be willing to travel.
